Kainua is the ancient Etruscan city that stood near the current town of Marzabotto. Ca’ is a reference to the typical toponyms of mountain farmhouses. Inua is an Inuit language word that means "the essence of all things", it is a spiritual concept that unites all beings and that is the principle of harmony between the living. The phonetic form of the Inuit term is the farm logo.

The project involves the global renovation of an apartment located on the first hill of Bologna for a young couple with a child. The people who live in this place and their passions were the first sources of inspiration for the design of the spaces, designed to meet their functional needs and enhance the artworks that distinguish and characterize the various room. The planimetric configuration is particularly irregular, therefore we have tried to exploit these irregularities to obtain all the service areas and bathrooms, leaving a cleaner design in the main rooms.

The project of Kindergarten “Barbapapà” was designed to a notice competition for project financing, in 2006, proposed by Vignola’s municipality. The program consisted in the space for 60 children divided in four classroom. The area is located on the border of urban development, on the hill up the city, not so much far to the historical centre. The natural environment induced specific assessments to preserve this atypical part of the landscape in the Emilia Romagna’s region. The project aimed to be an architectural expression of mature consciousness about the sustainable themes. This value was found in the all possible relationships with surroundings. The architectural project start to this point and express this principal theme in all his part, to transmit the sustainable value to all his young guests.
