The project, designed for a father and his teenage son, has 115m² and perfectly reflects the style and personality of the residents. The renovation of the apartment located in the Ecoville neighborhood, in Curitiba, included living, dining room, games' room, kitchen, master suite and toilet. The potential seen in the project included a double height and a mezzanine slab that could be used. As the apartment had no lining and finishing, it was not difficult to imagine a set staircase that would give access to the games' room.

There comes a point when arguments are no longer necessary. The project is already there, and things begin to emerge. The work becomes more sculptural, automatically incorporating elements until it reaches a poetic dimension. Situated in a gated community in Curitiba, this house perfectly reflects this condition by incorporating into its design a boulder originally located on the right side of the lot.

Maintaining the original aesthetic, improving integration between indoor spaces, and fostering greater interaction with the garden were the starting points for the renovation of this 1950s residence.

In addition to meeting a local commercial demand, the Orquidaria addresses several urban issues across different scales. By revitalizing the site and transforming a former urban void into a gathering place, concerns regarding insecurity and vulnerability have been resolved. Because the building offers physical and visual permeability through its gardens and wide-open areas, it invites pedestrians in and dispels the sense of insecurity of both the street and the permanent environmental protection area at the rear of the property.
