Punta Pite is located between Zapallar and Papudo, about 150 km north of Santiago, Chile. The site, as its name indicates, is a rocky point that juts into the sea. The task was to design a second home for a couple and their three children.

The house is developed on a single level and with direct contact to the land at the request of its owners. To achieve this and produce a terracing with the least impact on a steep slope hill, the house was organized in a linear way crossing from one hill to the other at the same level through a bridge over a small creek. The glazed bridge articulates the public and private areas whit full view to front and back.

This house is located in the area of San Andres, on the north hillside of Ranco Lake, which leads us to the first condition that we must respond to in the project: views to the south and natural light from the north, for which we propose public areas plus bedrooms overlooking the lake and living room located towards the hills of Futrono.

The Santiago Jewish Community which operated for mostly fifty years at the Great Synagogue on Serrano Street in south downtown, decides to move its seat to the eastern part of the city, thus, housing larger community, social and cultural activities, beyond the religious ones. The assignment not only consisted in combining a wide and hybrid program differing in type and size, category and use, but also required to provide a high quota of symbolism to the promenade and spatial experience overall.
