In the middle of a territory of nearly two million hectares in Rondônia, the Jupaú People now have the Jupaú Cultural and Media Center, built to house equipment such as drones, computers, and editing suites to document and preserve their land and customs. Designed by Casa Floresta, founded by Anna Julia Dietzsch, of Arquitetura da Convivência, along with Luis Octavio Farias e Silva, Clarissa Morgenroth, and Paulla Mattos, of Escola da Cidade, the design of the space was inspired by a traditional Jupaú longhouse (oca). Its 280 square meters were built using timber seized during inspections by the Public Prosecutor's Office in the region. This contribution to the Cultural and Media Center adds to ArC's history of prioritizing integration with the environment. It is also an outgrowth of Dietzsch’s research on the urbanization of the Amazon through integrated ecological development and the promotion of Indigenous traditional knowledge.
