Perhaps one of the most common phrases you'll hear when talking about interior renovations is "whatever you initially planned on spending, double it, and double the time with it". Renovations, regardless of their scale, can be very time consuming and costly, especially when unexpected changes pop up last minute. However, we are often met with situations where the interior layout is no longer efficient or we feel that the interior design is a little outdated and its time for a change.

The total area of the café is about 110 square meters. Before the start of construction work, we dismantled the partition between the two commercial slots and got a rather long facade, enriched with tall windows that let in the warm western sunlight. It suggested decisions about textures and materials. Thus, in this project appeared: ceramic blocks, clinker brick, ceramic sconces used in hot baths, sand plaster, warm-colored plywood, and natural sand-colored linoleum, which was supposed to reduce the echo and preserve the warmth of the space

The space is simple and functional with a lecture hall, a place to sit and work or relax. There is also a small multimedia library with a turntable, vinyl records and some rare books. A neo-Gothic building, bare walls with authentic murals inside, the first wheelchair ramp that was made following all the legal standards and requirements, paintings and chairs found in a dumpster (in the best traditions of Berlin interiors), modern quality furniture and light are among things that made the art centre controversial and non-trivial. Nobody expected such combinations in a municipal cultural institution where the design decisions impress visitors right from the doorstep.

Our project located in Kyiv, Ukraine. One of the main characteristics of the architectural solution of the building named SkyLine in which the apartment is located - Rounded floor plan and exterior walls. It was a test for our team to create no ordinary space in such an unusual flor plan. This apartment designed for the businesswoman who exactly knows what she wants from her own home - functionality and little cute things.
