In a 530 m² space within the community, we transformed cultural elements that carry the memories of Nanyang into the core design symbols of the children's play area. By ingeniously blending the linear aesthetics of traditional Chinese courtyards with the play needs of children across all age groups, we create unexpected delights where traditional culture meets modern childhood joy.

Boulder Park / Xisui Design

In the 13,000-square-meter community park, we use the natural material of large boulders —representing eternity— as the core design element of the garden, naturally integrating with the functional and experiential activities. For example, boulders lying over a sandpit can be transformed into climbing and resting play structures; stones in the shallow creek can become part of the water play installation. And the massive rock cave adventure space is creatively realized by the increasingly advanced 3D-printed concrete technology.

Undulating Paradise - Taking inspiration from the natural undulating cave terrain, the design of Undulating Paradise conceals a diverse range of children's facilities amongst the earth and vegetation. This approach filters out the unnecessary elements of artificial environments and creates a space where children can grow with a sense of natural belonging and sheltered experiences. Adults can also enjoy the simple, relaxed, and leisurely atmosphere while strolling and playing with family and children, sharing moments of familial joy. Located in the heart of Jinjiang District, Chengdu Newhope Tianfu • D10 children's activity space is in close proximity to the bustling business district of Taikoo Li. Surrounded by high-rises, the architectural environment presents a dual challenge of functional design and a high artistic standard.
