In a vast area of extensive agricultural fields, with the views of the Tramuntana as a backdrop, a house conceived as a refuge is born. In a scarcely shaded plot, we find a haven to shelter from the sun and the wind. A place where everything is in order. A space where architecture emphasizes and values the land where it is implanted.

The project takes place in the old town of Castellón where housing typologies on very narrow and longitudinal plots are common. A complete demolition of an old family house was carried out in order to realize the new project. One of the customer's concerns was to achieve good and natural illumination on all of the floors of the house and to also meet the needs of the program. The result is a perforated project that is planned on the ground floor, first floor, second floor and rooftop with a plot size of approximately 3.80 x 24 meters.

On a hillside that overlooks the orange fields are located the buildings that make up the project. The sharp slope conditioned the need for a broken section on the ground floor. And the orientation to the north, the placement of a central courtyard. These are the two main premises on which the proposal is based.
