Intervention of Hongling Middle School Shixia Campus: A Street-Life Community — In 2018, Shenzhen launched the "8+1 New Campus Initiative" to explore new models for schools in high-density urban environments. The intervention of Hongling Middle School Shixia Campus—founded in 2004—became the only expansion project completed in the plan's first phase, laying groundwork for the subsequent "100 Campus Renewal" initiatives.

Yulin old town is located in the northern part of Shaanxi Province and was built in the Ming Dynasty. Since the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, it has been one of the important nine frontier towns in China. The walls of the old town are well preserved. The Central Street, which runs through the north and south in the middle of town, has six towers standing on the street, is called the "Six-Tower Street".

Scenery and orientation
Located in the experimental nursery area of the Qinling National Botanical Garden, the expert apartment is an accommodation building for botanists to conduct field research. To the north of the site, the building is separated from Round Hill Road by a green buffer zone. Further north, it is the Central Shaanxi Plain with fields and path. To the south of the site, the sight cross gentle land of nearby village.

The client want to build a small cultural facility on the site. Firstly, it will be a studio for researchers work and be a library for professional book. Due to sit close to Jinfeng village, it is named as Jinfeng academy.

Chatouya Visitor Center / Tumushi Architects

Landscape settlement
Chatouya Visitor Center locates in Tianyu valley, 70 km away from Xi'an. It is the entrance of depth experience zone in the Qinling National Botanical Garden. The prior programs and appearance of visitor centre cannot meet client's new demands, hence whole site and buildings need to be upgraded. Through elaboration the position and breaking up whole new programs into parts, the new buildings, with preserved ones, are melt into natural environment and becomes a landscape settlement in Qinling Mountains.
