The new hybrid timber headquarters of DPG Media adds a communications hub to Amsterdam's developing city district Overamstel. In addition to editorial offices and recording studios for several major Dutch newspapers, magazines, and radio shows, the building includes test labs, a meeting centre, restaurants, and an engaging event space facing the docks.

The August is one of five social housing blocks in the new residential area Overhoeks in Amsterdam-Noord. The challenge was to create affordable houses, aesthetically competing with the surrounding luxury residential complexes. Coming home, feeling at home, and soft surroundings were important design themes.

HAUT, a residential tower, is a prototype for building innovative and environmentally-friendly high-rise timber structures. The team – Team V Architecture, Lingotto, Arup, and J.P. van Eesteren - built an ambitious sustainable building: a timber skyscraper, with 21 floors one of the tallest timber towers in the world. Never before has this highest sustainability rating – BREEAM Outstanding - been awarded to a residential building in the Netherlands.

Hotel Arena in Amsterdam / Team V Architecture

Hotel Arena shows how a relatively modest renovation can have a major impact on both a building and its surroundings. The impetus for the extension came with the proposal by the municipality of Amsterdam to renovate Oosterpark and double its size. To achieve this, private grounds around the edges of the park, including that belonging to Hotel Arena, were opened up. Team V seized on the opportunity to “turn the hotel around” and create a new front-facing the park.

Atlas - Eindhoven University of Technology / Team V Architecture

Atlas, the renovated main building of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), is an award winning, smart and sustainable university building, which has officially been opened on the 21st of March 2019. By combining state-of-the-art materials with optimal reuse, the robust Atlas building dating from the sixties is transformed into a light and energy efficient university building by Team V Architecture, Van Rossum, Valstar Simonis and Peutz. It is now one of the most sustainable education buildings in the world.

House of Province / Team V Architecture

The renovated House of Province of Gelderland in Arnhem (the Netherlands) has received this year the Best Building of the Year Award by the Royal Institute of Dutch Architects. The project called for the renovation of the existing building and the construction of a new extension, resulting in the creation of a sustainable and contemporary work environment while maintaining the monumental character of the original building.
