Known as the Casa do Sol (House of the Sun), Hilda Hilst’s residence was built in the 1960s to host her life of writing and artistic creation. Between 2023 and 2025, the property underwent its first complete restoration process. The intervention updated the house's infrastructure, conserved original features, and expanded its capacity to host artistic residencies and cultural activities promoted by the Hilda Hilst Institute. Made possible through the Transfer of Development Rights (TDC) —a public preservation policy that allows the sale of the construction potential of listed heritage properties— the restoration of Casa do Sol was one of the first cases in Campinas to apply this legislation.
