TANK has completed the « L'Alliance », a modular school in Dunkerque, France. The new construction includes an agora, a seven-classroom nursery, an eight-classroom elementary school, a cafeteria, a community center, a multipurpose hall divisible into smaller spaces, a cybercenter, offices, a civic hall, and outdoor areas.

Nation Office Building Intervention / TANK Architectes

Situated at Place de la Nation in Paris, this project reinterprets the urban fabric through the reconstruction of a distinctive office building. The intervention respects the architectural scale of its surroundings while contributing a refined contemporary presence. The program includes 1,700 m² of retail space at ground level and approximately 6,000 m² of office space, designed to prioritize comfort, natural light, and spatial quality. The project responds to its setting with a restrained yet expressive architectural language. Two façades address Place de la Nation and Avenue de Taillebourg, referencing the rhythm and proportions of Haussmann architecture while introducing a contemporary material palette and refined detailing. This approach ensures an understated integration within the historic streetscape while establishing a strong identity.

Mixed-use Building Rue Castagnary / TANK

The residential development located on Rue Castagnary brings together a hybrid program within one building, in all its length and narrowness. Composed of 245 apartments and collective facilities, including a sports hall and a multipurpose hall, the program is aimed towards three types of users: students, young workers, and migrant workers. The slender plot implies a reflection on the daily rituals that will take place within its contours.

The apartment is located nearby Kiyomizu-Temple, and has excellent views of the five sacred mountains of Kyoto. Our plan was to transform a typical (drab) Japanese condominium into a guesthouse where artists and creators can pursue their creative activities and enjoy living as well. We also tried to integrate traditional Japanese techniques normally not used in construction into the design.

The Levi Strauss School is settled in the heart of a urban growth district, between its ancient housing, wharehouses and the port district of Lille, North of France. The main building’s settled on the urban boulevard, the main hall, highly transparent, is opened on the front square, this gives an institutionnal feature to the high school playing a major role within the district. The main entrance is through a porch at the intersection of Boulevard de la Lorraine and Rue Lestiboudois.

This project is located on a narrow and sloping plot, on the edge of a village. The way the house had to be laid out wasn’t an easy staff since the regulations and neighborhood limits were restricting… to avoid a very long and narrow house, the project is splited in three parts, on semi levels using the natural slope.
