The Mar Jónico Building is located in the district of Vitacura, a residential neighborhood that has undergone an intense densification process over the past few years with the development of eight-story buildings in an area that had one- and two-story houses in the 1970s.

The Piacenza Building arises from a commission to design a multi-residential building on a small site designated for medium rise development. Constructions from 7 to 10 storeys surround the site, however, given the site area, we were only allowed to develop five storeys and a sixth floor with larger setbacks on the sides.

The assignment consisted in projecting six luxury apartments in a terrain with a steep slope on the southern slope of Cerro San Luis located in Santiago de Chile. This hill, which is a kind of island within the "El Golf" neighborhood, a district that has mutated into a predominantly commercial and office area, still has a residential scale, with houses, some of them with interesting architectural quality, low rise and terraced buildings.

The project consisted of three cabins located in Maitencillo, Chile on a small site 15 mts. wide by 35 mts. deep. The design had to guarantee the independence and ocean view of each unit, keeping at the same time a unitary composition of the three cabins. That is to say, it should function either as one big house or three independent units that could be used by different families. Additionally, the project was restricted by a tight budget and a short construction period that forced the use of cheap materials and efficient constructive systems.
