We wanted an architecture without superfluous, but that welcomed the essential with extreme sophistication. We found in art the ideal way to establish dialogue with the neighborhood and express our opinion. The artist Heloísa Crocco filled the concrete lines with her work of topomorphic alphabet, present in the brises and the first floor panel. Her language full of codes and symbolisms establishes a bridge between the ancestral and the contemporary. The result is a lively and dynamic façade, on the border between interior and exterior, and between architecture and art.

Contemporary life is essentially urban, and the city is the stage for our daily relationships and experiences. It is vital to value neighborhoods where daily life can unfold on foot, and where driving is an option rather than a necessity. The streets, shops, services, leisure—the city is an extension of our home, and also of our identity, acting as a mirror that reflects who we are and what we believe in. For this project, Petrópolis was chosen: a typically residential neighborhood with easy access and an excellent central location, which over time has acquired a cosmopolitan flair by hosting shops and services that serve as an extension of the home.

Architecture has the power to transform and improve cities. It is connected to everything: art, contemporary life, fashion, and design. People live in society, and the city is the great stage for this experience. In this scenario, the architect carries the immense responsibility of "building and structuring" this stage, building by building, for dreams and personalities to find their home.

Germano 508 is inspired by boutique hotels, where the identity of the space is both bold enough to connect contemporary values and outstand against major hotel chains, but neutral enough to attract several profiles, as if a hotel was an extension of the universe that gives identity to its guests. So the concept of "boutique office" where companies can carry out their activities in a space that speaks directly to their identity emerges and works to enlarge and strengthen it through its architecture and services. Light, narrow, private and not oppressive, it is a space designed for companies of the creative industry, with open space to think freely.

We live in a moment in time where a crescent pursuit for self-expression, independency and freedom of choice are an important part of a new urban identity in several forms of cultural expression. The Amélia Teles 315 building was created with these premises in mind, almost as a bet that these contemporary perceptions of identity could also be found in and facilitated by architecture. The project had the main goal of exploring the dialogue between private and urban life, specially considering that this dialogue has been forgotten by most real estate developers and architects in Brazil in face of the violence in developed cities.
