Designed by New York based Slade Architecture in collaboration with Virgin Atlantic’s in-house design team, the new Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at JFK is a relaxed luxury space with a rich and distinctly ‘Uptown’ Manhattan feel. The 10,000sf Clubhouse is bounded on two sides by full height expansive views over the jet ways, with Virgin Atlantic aircraft visible immediately below. With a direct view onto the iconic TWA terminal, the lounge picks up on this adjacency with subtle references to the glamour of the 50’s era.

Virgin Atlantic has opened a brand-new Clubhouse at Newark Liberty Airport. Designed by New York-based Slade Architecture (www.sladearch.com) in collaboration with the Virgin Atlantic in-house design team (the same collaboration that designed the award winning JFK Clubhouse which opened in March 2012), the Newark Clubhouse brings together NYC’s downtown flair and Virgin Atlantic’s warmth and individuality. The lounge lives and breathes lower Manhattan – think Soho boutiques, TriBeCa lofts and Meatpacking District chic.

We renovated this entire brownstone, completed in 2007 for NYC pillar and father of three daughters, Ricky Kenig, the owner and personality behind the Ricky's NYC stores. Ricky was interested in creating a modern heaven for his family, in a beautiful Brooklyn brownstone: a place that offered private retreat spaces as well as open mixing spaces to spend time together.
