With the purpose of preparing the home to welcome friends and family, all spaces were integrated to accommodate a larger number of people during gatherings. A large natural wood veneer panel wraps around the walls, unifying the social areas and making them more comfortable. This panel also discreetly camouflages a large tableware closet designed to store all the table linens. Conceived in a casual contemporary style, the use of natural materials was one of the key premises of this project. Large-format Greek Sunny White marble lends refinement and elegance to the social area, while natural Cumaru hardwood flooring brings comfort to the private quarters.

Customers wanted a beach house to gather family and friends on weekends and holidays. Located in Praia do Forte, on the north coast of Bahia, the residence has 580m² distributed over two floors and a basement. The project, started in 2021 and completed the following year, posed a challenge for the team at Sidney Quintela Architecture + Urban Planning office, especially in meeting the family's desire for a variety of spaces in the residence, both for hosting and leisure.

Situated in “Praia do Forte” in an old fishing village that retains rustic charm yet a contemporary feel. “Casa Pérgola” was created from the client's need for ample space to receive friends and family. Large balconies are a key feature of this family-orientated home. With a contemporary style, driven by tropical architecture and open spaces, the house benefits from blurred interior and exterior boundaries. The maximum use of natural light and ventilation were also key drivers.
