A square with a triangular top hat sure does make a home. A similar approach has been taken in sketching this school. Built like a toy house, the massing has been designed with certain innocence in its rather rudimentary shapes and geometries. Entire forms of playful construction in projected cantilevers with recessed windows make the elevation of the school block.

Sanskruti School is an exclusive pre-primary school for an already existing school campus at Gokak. The planning philosophy is directed by considering the psychological and physical needs of kindergarten children who have tendencies to explore spaces with exciting avenues and colorful vistas with minimum boundaries. A triangular-shaped piece of land sandwiched between an existing school building on the north, a set of playgrounds on the east and west sides, and the campus property edge abutting the city’s vehicular road on the south was identified as an appropriate location for a new pre-primary school building, crafting the elevation for the entire campus as it stands in the foreground of the existing buildings.

A family of doctors craved for a weekend getaway to be designed at their ancestral farmlands located at Terni village. The idea was to enjoy outdoor spaces around a swimming pool nestled between sugarcane fields and mango tree orchards. The profile was to design a place that made the users feel that they are dwelling right in between the farmlands, less with themselves and more with the flora and fauna of the site.
