This residence is designed for a couple and their child. The site is situated in a residential area carved into the mid-slope of a mountain. The eastern side of the site faces a cliff, offering distant views of the mountains and a panoramic vista of the town below. It is also located in a region with a close-knit community. Given the client's desire to leverage the site’s natural surroundings, the design was focused on creating a building that allows for enjoying the views while fostering positive relationships with the neighbors.

It is a house for a family of four. After my sons left home in the future, I wanted a home for the couple to have a comfortable life. This time, which is the second time to build a house, we decided to plan with a minimum budget and scale.

It is a house for a couple who took over a large site. The main building where the elderly mother lived was damaged and demolished by the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake. The site was surrounded by tall block fences with a barn and garden trees left behind. The owner requested a space full of privacy and light.
