It is a villa with 1 basement floor and 2 floors above ground on a seaside site in Kanagawa prefecture. The site is located in a villa area along the coast. A large opening is planned on the south side overlooking the sea, and the terrace and pool on the first floor create a façade with a white volume protruding toward the sea on the existing revetment retaining wall.

This building is a one-story villa on a site with a great location overlooking the sea. Living, dining, kitchen, private room, bathroom and study planned on the north side where we can see the sea. Each room has a large opening sash that seamlessly connects the terrace, pool, basin and the sea, and sees beautiful sea views. The south side plans to take in the wind while avoiding direct sunlight by planning a courtyard in the living, dining, and kitchen so that direct sunlight does not enter the building directly.

This house sits in the beautiful scenery of Mie, near the Suzuka mountain range. The client, a emi- nent florist truly enjoys its natural surroundings, with its natural green context, with site plants which he uses for his own work, as well as wild animals coming from mountains to eat fruits. Approaching from the road, suddenly appears a white sharp “C-shape” volume of 22m long, gently floating above a existing slope, between the trees. A stairway to the house is made of 7 pieces from a huge rock which found buried under the ground while construction.

In spite of standing in a central dense urban area of Tokyo, this house is privileged to have a very nice landscape to enjoy. Like 3 box-culverts sitting on top of each other, the building of 12mx9mx9m displays a very pure expression. The volume is closed all around, except in the one façade that overlooks a green scenery, which is totally open to the exterior.
