Located in the northern part of Dongting Lake, Linxiang is rich in local lore. Legend has it that Huang Gai, a famous general of the Eastern Wu, once "broke reeds to make floats" on Taiping Lake in Yunmeng Ze (today's Huang Gai Lake), pioneering the use of floats for fishing. Leveraging these rich local resources and historical traditions, the core of this planning project seamlessly grafts the bamboo craft and fishing float industries onto cultural tourism.
