The site is located in a rich environment with a rural landscape. Ruins of Osawa Castle and other ruins are scattered in the surrounding area, and people with the same family name continue to live in the village. Located in a mountain valley, a waterway flows in front of the house. There is a legend that a lake spread out in this area in ancient times. It is a strange and satisfying landscape, and in this project, we imagined an architecture that would mark a new time in this place that has a history of forming satoyama while fighting and cohabiting with nature.

A house where a couple of grandchildren and their five children live on the land where their grandmother used to live. The couple are entrepreneurs, actively working and interacting with a variety of people. We aimed to create a house that integrates living and work, and that can accommodate a variety of activities as a richness. Although there is a field on the south side of the site, the residential area is separated from the field to the extent that it cannot be seen from the street side. The gap between the building and the neighboring land was made into an outer earthen floor with an open space to the rear, as it was necessary to extend the eaves of the house due to landscape restrictions. A terrace on the farmland side, which can be accessed from both inside and outside, creates an outside gathering place for a variety of people in a house that often welcomes visitors.

Is it possible to simply assign functions and assume them? Although it is a building that we use every day, its appearance five, ten or thirty years from now will change more than we can imagine.

It is an open land that is rich in rural scenery and protected by the embankment of the Kuzuryu River. Although it is a quiet land with few houses at present, it is highly likely that houses will be lined up in the future because Fukui City is actively developing residential land. In order to make use of the entire planned site, which has a large site and rich surrounding environment but has many uncertainties, we considered creating gaps and gaps between the house and the surrounding area. The layout plan created two stable U-shaped walls, hung the roof and created an interior space.

It is a plan for a residential area in Toyono-cho, Osaka, built in Showa 42-54 (1967-1979). This Tokiwadai is aging due to the fact that there are many residents living about 40 years ago. However, as a commuter town, it is very popular because it has a green living environment, and recently, renewal including rebuilding is becoming active, and small-scale houses with stores are also increasing.

This is a housing project located in Kyoto where the landscape regulations are particularly strict to preserves the city's culture. Due to the strict regulation towards the outer wall, roof, volume, colours, and along with a building coverage rate of only 30%, we present you with an idea of acquiring a wide space by effectively occupy the entire site with a simple and yet traditional structure as exterior. Furthermore, the theme is to rethink the culture that had been handed down in Kyoto, and to plan a property suitable for the modern lifestyles.
