The house was designed for a family of 5. The investors intended the functional program to be very extensive: a living area with a wide sofa and a large dining room (the investors have a large family and like to invite guests); a large kitchen with an everyday table plus a dirty kitchen. Each child was to have their own dressing room and small bathroom; double bedroom with bathroom and dressing room; office and fitness zone with saunas and guest room. In the basement, investors dreamed of a wine cellar and another pickle kitchen. When designing the house, from the very beginning, we were looking for suitable places for numerous paintings and furniture - family souvenirs... and even a casement window saved from one of the houses.

S House is a minimalist house living in symbiosis with its surroundings. Its shape, similar to the letter S, was created as a result of inscribing a rich functional layout in such a way as not to cut down a single tree. Already during our first visit to the investors' plot, we felt that this house had to be a simple, glazed pavilion open to a beautiful garden, a forest. The problem arose when it turned out that the complex functional program did not fit into the imagined cuboid in the area where development is permitted, and by almost half! And here came the idea to "squeeze" this cuboid by twisting it in two places.

The single-family house was designed for a family of four on a picturesque forested plot. It was intended to be a single-story residence constructed entirely from concrete. The investors were in search of a material that could age gracefully in the forest environment and require minimal maintenance. From the outset, the vision was for the house to harmonize with the surrounding trees and coexist naturally with the environment.

PL.architekci designed a house in Poznań with a barn-like look for Karolina. She had a dream of building a house allowing her to fulfil her passion for horseback riding and everything country western which all began with her love of Hollywood films about the Wild West. Karolina started with finding a perfect plot of land on the outskirts of Poznań, 30 min drive from the historic city center. In her free time apart from horseback riding (she owns a horse named Bystry ("Bright")) she collects cacti.
