House L, a single-family house containing an office wing and an apartment for an au pair, is sculpted as a monolith of massive concrete. It is as it appears to be: inside and outside concrete, without further insulation or cladding.

Oertelplatz, a square in the Allach area of Munich, is a new development providing the quarter with a new urban heart and transportation centre. Bordered to the east by the railway and an industrial area, to the south by a new commercial mall, and to the other sides by smaller residential buildings, Oertelplatz is divided into two separate areas. To the south, the urban square functions as a marketplace, with terraces for cafés and restaurants, and as a meeting place next to the fountain or under the trees.

Villa U is a single-family house located in the residential area of Gräfelfing outside Munich. The floor plan is triangular, with the long side turned away from the street towards the garden and facing directly south. The remaining two sides, including the entrance one, follow the geometry of the plot. The southern, widest façade is cut open towards the spacious garden with a swimming pool. The building is conceived as a solid block, with three large openings and a double-height space carved out within the long southern side.

R11 is a roof extension to a four-story building in the Munich inner city near the central station. The foundations of the existing 1980s building had limited carrying capacity and did not allow for a simple extension of this size. Instead, it was first necessary to demolish the reinforced concrete structure on the fourth floor before extending upwards with more lightweight construction. The new structure of massive timber, clad in steel encloses two new floors and a mezzanine gallery. In total, three separate living units have been created.

Wohnen ohne Auto (literally “Living without a car”) is a co-housing project, developed in a process of participatory design with a community of future residents. The project features a series of strategies which aim is to minimize the superfluous, to estabilish a collective attitude towards sharing and to facilitate in general a more sustainable behaviour.

The kult is a new cultural hub for the town of Vreden and a vibrant focal point on its cultural route. It combines a 1.400 sqm artistic-historical museum with the cultural administration of the district, the local archives, an educational space, a city market, a shopping area and spaces for events and temporary exhibitions.
