Boglands are complex natural wetland ecosystems. They are like swamps and marshes, but their living environment and their soil is more complex, therefore they are more fragile. Hundreds of years ago Budapest was surrounded by boglands due to the proximity of the Danube River. But through centuries we drained them and now a very few hectares exist only.

Modernist housing estates are rejected, just as the Haszkovó housing estate in the city of Veszprém, Hungary. Their stories are understood as the stories of failed urban developments, they are grey, sad, and soulless. Can something be soulless and grey which gives home to 20.000 inhabitants? Instead of letting our prejudices drive our view on modernist housing estates, is that possible to reconsider our relationships and think about them as “real cities” and to complete them with creative ideas?

Paradigma Ariadné is an architectural studio independent of styles and trends, where the architectural product always contextualizes in some way. Usually, this contextualization creates the extra content which makes our studio’s plans unique, be it a house, furniture, or urban planning. The Slanted House connected to this very characteristics of our studio to both, as its statement and its connection to the landscape are apparent in a way that at the same time it also tries to refer to and interpret its theoretical context: critical regionalism.

Photo Booth Pantheon was designed for Hello Wood Festival 2019 to become the monument of the Builders Society of Hello Wood. Photo Booth Pantheon is a building, a memorial, a performative installation and a tool at the same time. A real photo booth which represents historical and contemporary tendencies of remembrance, which are getting more and more important in the age of viral sharing.
