The cabin marries traditional craftsmanship with modern wood technologies. The green oak truss forms both the structure and style of the cabin, this is then wrapped in wood fibre insulation and clad in charred cedar and black wrinkly tin. The interior panelling and built in furniture is made from white washed ash, bi-fold doors open out onto an oak veranda with a tensile canvas awning. The cabin is powered by solar and heated with a 5 kw wood burning stove. The cabin can be customised and scaled accordingly to meet the needs of different sites and inhabitants.
