Ngoc Ha house was a 4-storey house that’s built 20 years ago, which is dark and damp, easily to pass by without any recognition. The house took place on Hoang Hoa Tham street, Hanoi, with the view toward the B52 lake - a lake that comes with a historical background.

In the center of Vinh City, where is influenced by the Lao wind (hot and dry westerly wind) and burning sun, we start from one busiest and most crowded streets of Vinh city, It filled with smoke and dust by vehicles, we will turn into a small alley that seem looks like many other streets that is packed with concrete, with high - rise building, with silent iron frame doors, suddenly, we will meet a fresh and green space opened up front of our eyes, the gently, rustic and peaceful picture, apparently a long time ago, in some countryside.

“A House in Trees” locates in a small narrow land, which was divided with the area of 5x15(m) in Tu Son town, Bac Ninh, Vietnam. This area is facing rapid industrialization and urbanization. There are several problems with the site such as noise and smog from traffic; and negative effects from industrial zone. The main façade is faced west.

The house is located in a small narrow neighborhood in Vinh City, a middle part of Vietnam. The four sides of the land are surrounded by other houses. The entrance of land is a long narrow cul-de-sac with an area of 2x10 and the final part is a folding shape with an area of 4x12m. Architects were asked to design a small house for a middle-aged couple and a daughter.
