The Gable Villa emerges from a hybridization of an inclined structure—reminiscent of the region's traditional architecture—and an orthogonal framework. The project's structural system also informs the spatial organization (what we refer to as an economy of space), with the public areas located on the lower level, where greater height is required.

At first glance, the residential villa presents itself in continuity with the familiar typology of pitched-roof villas, aligning its overall silhouette with a well-known and recognizable architectural language. This deliberate choice allows the building to remain visually and conceptually connected to its surrounding context and to the conventional expectations associated with this type of dwelling. However, the project does not settle for mere repetition of an established model; instead, it seeks to extract new spatial possibilities from within this familiar framework. The approach is not based on rejecting the typology, but rather on reinterpreting and transforming it to generate a renewed architectural reading.

We call the Lumen Residential Building the Corners Project because by manipulating and distorting the form in the corner of a building block and by using strategies such as filament, semi-transparency, and multi-layering, we could tame the intense light that exists in the main aspects of the building.

The Poet's House by Next Office is the restoration and adaptive reuse of the former home of Iranian poet and dissident Ahmad Shamlou into a cultural center in downtown Tehran. While preserving the original brick façade and structural shell, the project introduces a spatial intervention along a second-floor wall bearing a handwritten poem by Shamlou. This element was extended into a conceptual and semi-structural backbone—transformed into a three-dimensional promenade that opens the house toward the city. Through this approach, the formerly private courtyard becomes a public open space that invites visitors into the life, thoughts, and legacy of the poet.

The Nedarag Guesthouse is a non-profit project situated in a remote village of roughly 200 households from the Sunni-Baluch minority in southeastern Iran. In Iran's centralized and religiously homogeneous development system, ethnic and religious minorities are systematically excluded. In villages like Kahnanikash, this marginalization is particularly severe due to the local practice of Zekri—a religious belief seen as heretical by the central government.

The AnDo Project—which literally translates to those two in Farsi—is an attempt to create new types of residence in infill plots. By freeing the circulation and intermixing it with the open spaces of the terrace, the entrance, and the yard, the two units in each level have been turned into a vibrant yet peaceful residential complex, with each unit maintaining its independence from the other while participating in a perpetual dance with the help of the playful stairway that joins the pair. The two synchronous masses and the stairway that seems stuck in between create variegated spatial sequences and united with their open spaces like a three-dimensional promenade.

In the Central Courtyard project, a tunnel/bar structure features a continuous arrangement of stacked arches, resulting in an intricate three-dimensional central courtyard. This courtyard offers varying degrees of permeability, evident in the floor (through the pool), the walls (open to opposing views), and toward the sky.

At our first encounter with the site, the unusual proportions of this rather small piece of ground caught our attention. This irregular geometry together with the remaining marks of an old construction, including the outline of an old villa and a ramp, were the last signs of what once was there. Still visible on the walls, the vestige of the old house felt like a chalk outline drawn at a crime scene, preserving the last trace of the victim’s presence in the world. The evidence suggested that this villa was one of the last survivors of its kind in the Shemiran region.

Having always been a controversial issue, generation gap has widened even further today. This gap along with other cultural and social gaps have led to the belief that living in Iran is the coexistence of diverse or even contradictory lifestyles which create a heterogeneous society. This diversity in lifestyles, particularly in such cases as private versus public, conventional versus modern, masculine versus feminine, seems to be bolder, the effects of which, in approaches to architectural design throughout history, can be observed on the relationship between mass and void, hierarchy, and spatial sequencing. These differences can be viewed in the architecture of various regions in Iran – differences that normally originate in various cultural and religious ideologies alongside diverse regions in Iran.

"Ario Choob" project, which is an office & show-room for presenting imported lumbering machines, is located in the industrial town of "Behsazi Sanaye Choob". Constructions in this industrial town are usually built from prefabricated concrete panels and each block is divided into four parts, with the height of 12 meters. Unlike the common appearance of these industrial towns, this town looks like a garden and the street network is constructed carefully in order to save the trees from any damage.

The main forming idea of this project lies in the geometrical involvement of two square loops tied to each other. These loops are in fact an abstract version of introverted pattern taken from Qazvin vernacular architecture. Herein, the loops which earlier used to shape central court yards in a horizontal order are tied in a vertical manner for reaching different building levels and connecting the interior spaces to surrounding exterior.
