Located on a steep slope in Nova Lima, Minas Gerais, Casa Ouro Velho folds and opens across multiple levels, establishing a continuous and respectful dialogue with the natural landscape and the exuberance of the Atlantic Forest. Designed as a direct response to the topography and surrounding forest, the project is organized into levels that embrace the terrain, establishing a continuous dialogue between architecture and nature, with precise cuts that ensure the preservation of the larger native trees on the lot.

The Primavera Farm project is an intervention in a pre-existing property, which had undergone successive extensions without planning or supervision of architectural professionals. Thus, its architecture lacked cohesion, organization, and aesthetic unity. The building had transitional spaces in privileged spots, while social spaces were relegated to the background. The project aimed to connect these spaces, taking advantage of the surrounding view and improving the quality of its architecture. The renovation also needed to take advantage of the original structure as much as possible, lowering costs and unnecessary interventions.

The Moeda House project was designed to take full advantage of the potential of the landscape. Steep slopes, a privileged view of the mountains and a preserved forest surround the property, located in the countryside of the city of Moeda, in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Its isolated spot allows the interior spaces to integrate with the landscape, bringing the view into the house. The project makes the best of these conditions and proposes an open configuration of spaces, with little divisions between rooms and large glass panels on the facades. This house gives new light to the typology of the rural residences of Minas Gerais, with its typical wooden structures and ceramic roof by giving is transparency and lightness.

The house is located on the edge of Lake Furnas. The house was located in a manner that provides a view of the lake in all rooms and environments. The visual integration between social space and privacy in the intimate area guided all the solutions. The circulation areas are always marked by overhead lighting.
