Chapultepec Forest Scenic Garden / Michan Architecture + PARABASE

In 2022, Michan Architecture, together with Parabase and Taller de Paisaje Entorno, won an international design competition for three new pavilions and a landscape project in Chapultepec Park, one of the largest and oldest parks in Latin America. Most of the mass of the project is generated by reusing the site’s own resources, respecting existing trees and minimizing waste.

This project is a residential building in Mexico City consisting of seven 1-2 bedroom apartments with basement parking. It was decided from the beginning that the construction system would be cast-in-place concrete, that the unit types would be simple and direct, and that the building would maximize the site footprint and allowed height. These were limitations that satisfied the client's desires and allowed us to focus our efforts on an interesting opportunity in the project: the openings.

Oku Pedregal Restaurant / Michan Architecture + Escala Arquitectos

Located in front of the iconic Parroquia de la Santa Cruz del Pedregal by designed by Antonio Attolini Lack on the corner between Boulevard de la Luz and Av. de las Fuentes at Jardines del Pedregal, OKU opened its second restaurant in Mexico City.

ODP Residential Building / Michan Architecture

ODP is a residential complex located in the southwest area of Mexico City. The plot has a natural slope, with a natural ravine in the north orientation, which becomes the heart of the project. Due to the geometry of the plot, the scheme consists of two elongated towers arranged perpendicularly between them, forming an L and managing to locate the units with optimal views and orientation. Between the towers a central garden is generated as part of the project's open space.

Z53 Social Housing / MAP/MX + Grupo Nodus

The project is located on a rectangular plot with its short side facing the Street, in an areas with a high demand of social housing in Mexico City. The 42 units are placed in three towers, generating interiorcourtyards for views and natural ventilation for each apartment, connected with tow vertical cores and bridges above the patios.

The project is located in Mexico City, in a residential complex. Because of its location; on the top floor of a 10 stories building we could modify the layout, exposing the structure of the space and creating and terrace with and amazing view to the city.
