"The Gallery" is conceived as a contemporary residence where architecture, natural light, movement, and landscape come together to create a calm and refined living experience. The project is inspired by the idea of architecture as a continuous journey rather than a collection of separate spaces. Clean geometric volumes establish a strong architectural identity, while carefully framed openings, courtyards, and landscaped areas create a constant visual and spatial relationship between the interior and its natural surroundings.

In the quiet landscape of Prapashticë, Kasollet e Zanave—literally "Fairy Huts"—nestles where people, animals, and nature share the land, and simple architectural gestures gently build upon existing farm structures. The design approach developed by Maden Group is rooted in the concept of environmental interconnection; architecture acts as a mediator between people, nature, and tradition. Rather than replacing what existed, the project builds upon it, using natural materials and spatial strategies that emphasize continuity and authenticity.

The architecture of the building is characterized by a brutalist style, using materials that are characterized in our countries such as Concrete and Clay Blocks. Materials such as concrete and block represent the construction culture in our country over the years. The treatment of materials in the object is done by leaving the natural color of the material itself and in this way a rhythm and harmony are created between the shape of the object and its color.

As part of our culture, once we find a new place of residence, we can easily spend different hours of the day for different occasions in the same place, especially when the work is added to the work of different artists, who give local value. The challenge of this project, in addition to the many pillars in the bar, which I eliminate through interior design, was also to create a space that fits harmoniously with several components. Works of art, colors, and plants, are these three components that complement each other and harmoniously become one.

The love for cafes, restaurants, bars, and practices to spend a lot of time in our favorite places is one of our characteristics. Our culture enjoys good food and coffee especially with good company while eating and drinking, it is also worth asking that we also eat fast food slowly. One of the strongest points we wanted to pay attention to was the comfort, the special look and the feeling “at home”. Glass blocks have been used in cases where in the past they needed light and not views … mostly secondary places like toilettes, stairwells, etc., while we have given them added value by showing that the glass bones do wonders. One of the reasons we used glass blocks is because of the depth of the strip, to create the same feeling throughout the strip and painting the wall behind the yellow glass blocks.

The idea behind the proposal for the Central Mosque of Pristina comes from the first religious needs and the study of the earliest styles of mosque architecture in Kosovo. Designed by Maden GROUP, the concept is to convey tradition through contemporary architecture while combining in the best mode of architecture and religious rules. Therefore, the architects developed in geometric foundations, by combining simple geometrical elements. More images and architects’ description after the break.
