This project emerges as a reflection on the history and values of Hermès with craft as a starting point and as the end point. Before drawing a line, I carried out with my atelier multiple "excavations": research on the history of this place, on the local resources, the particularities of this environment, of the ground of Normandy with its wet, clayey earth, ready to be modeled.

Hotels have developed their common spaces by opening their lobbies to include, for example, bars, cafeterias, and coworking spaces. Hotel rooms have instead evolved much less; they remain a shrine to decoration surrounding an immovable bed. But isn’t this a good time to transform them, to adapt them to our domestic state in a world where flows are only increasing?

Beirut is permanent archeology. Buried 7 times through the ages, the city tells the story of our ancestors. Currently, its built landscape reflects its recent history. Ruined buildings invaded by wilderness juxtaposed with red-tiled roofed traditional houses that still bear witness to the architecture of this Mediterranean city. Located in the port area, «Stone Garden» materializes the Architect’s perception of her birthplace.
