The main inspiration of the family house was the location and the motif of the region ethnographic barn-building. It is designed in a rich natural and historical etnographic environment – Dzūkija in Lithuania. It is one of the five ethno-cultural regions of (ethnic) Lithuania, located in southeastern Lithuania. Therefore, every solution of the building, from the smallest architectural detail to the final volume, is solid, continious amd seamless to create the house like a sculpture, harmoniously blending into the natural background.

"Seaside garden" is designed and being developed as a building complex in one of the Lithuanian resorts, near the coast of the Baltic Sea, Palanga. The neighborhood of the natural environment had a great influence in creating and shaping the future identity of the vacant plot. Thus, there was a need for creating a vibrant live environment all year round. And the residential duplex buildings of aesthetic minimalistic architecture that have "sprouted" in “Seaside garden” are comfortably and practically planned, suitable for living and resting for the whole family.

Accurate, precise, purified aesthetics. Natural stone tiling, wood sticks and concrete panels are used for facades. The house and the site slope are composed together as a continuous space. The site is divided into two different level areas – approach area and inner yard for relaxation. The main entrance and technical premises are one level lower than main living house area. The approach to the yard rises along the natural slope ramp under the house, directing visitors toward the rear of the site. Within the inner garden, the ground becomes continuous with the floor of the house living, dining and sleeping areas. You can come out on the grass straight from the room.

It was cozy, mature plot overgrown with old pine trees. The project had to be reconstruction of an old house with no architectural value, but reconstruction work unexpectedly turned into almost a new modern house. At first, clients hoped to save at least part of the building, butlater it turned out that it simply is not worth rescuing as was built very faulty. Little by little it was demolished, and the housing took on a whole new look and style. This is one part of blocked building and is designed on former house outlines for the family of three. Austere building volumes is intersection of cubes in different sizes and heights with black wood planking from the outside. Deep skylights are used for southern sunlight to enter the main premises on the ground floor and lighten the dark part of the kitchen.
