The concept behind The Lost Shtetl Jewish Museum is based on the destroyed village of Šeduva and its culture, which vanished overnight in August 1941. 664 Jews from the village were executed in the nearby forests. Along with human lives, Šeduva's long and rich history was also lost. The museum was built to commemorate the lost lives and culture, which represented not only Jewish but also European culture. The museum consists of minimalist, abstract 'houses' with hip roofs. Together, they form a cluster of buildings—a dreamscape of a village, a shtetl.

The Urban Environment House is a building designed by Lahdelma & Mahlamäki architects for the Urban Environment Division responsible for, e.g., city planning, building supervision, and environmental services in the City of Helsinki, Finland. It is the winner of the Tekla BIM Award 2020 for Finland and the Baltics, awarded for the extensive and advanced utilization of BIM technology. Up to two-story-high brick arches and an arcade, which continues all the way to the main lobby, connect the public street space and the interior of the Urban Environment House and, on the other hand, communicate about the public nature of the ground floor.

The Finnish nature Centre haltia is designed by lahdelma & Mahlamäki ar- chitects ltd with professor rainer Mahlamäki as the head designer. The centre opens for the public the 31st of May, 2013. The building is located on the shore of lake Pitkäjärvi next to nuuksio national Park in Espoo, 30 km away from helsinki. Total area of the building is 3500 m2 and volume is 18 000 m3.

An international architectural competition for the Museum of the History of Polish Jews was organised in spring 2005. The first discussions regarding the plan to build such a museum had taken place ten years earlier. During those years it had become clear that there is a need for a dedicated museum as public interest towards Jewish history and culture had increased. The selection of the participants of the architectural competition was based on expressions of interest. The finalists included 11 studios, including Studio Daniel Libeskind, Kengo Kuma & Associates, Zvi Hecker Architects, Peter Eisenman and David Chipperfield.
