The plot of land for this project, located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Nyon, is the result of property lines that were redrawn around a 20th-century manor house. The magnificent trees and view of Lake Geneva inspired the site plan, which was imagined together with the office of Bonnard + Woeffray. The three buildings glide between the trees and around the free spaces, clearings in the making. The complex is home to 49 new condominium apartments.

Villa in Veyrier / Lacroix Chessex

The development comprises a two-storey villa of around 150 m², built adjacent to the existing family home dating from the late 1990s. It consists of a large unitary gable roof housing different volumes based on a square grid. This fragmented composition, unified by its roof, makes it possible to tame the diagonal available for this house.

Public Facilities Building / Lacroix Chessex

The project forms part of the eco-district at Jonction. This public facilities building complements the three existing residential units. Its program includes a crèche, a sports hall, premises for extracurricular activities and a multi-purpose hall.

Vertical Extension on Avenue Wendt / Lacroix Chessex

This two-floor vertical extension project on Avenue Wendt is located next to a pair of neighboring buildings that were also recently added on floors. From a volume perspective, this facilitated the extension’s integration and acceptance. Our architectural expression and vision, however, were not congruous with a solution aimed at architectural continuity.

The redevelopment of the Reuilly barracks is currently one of the major building sites in the French capital. This ambitious project, in the heart of the 12th arrondissement, entails the rehabilitation of a former military barracks whose foundations date back to the 17th century. It involves the construction of 600 social housing units, a public garden, crèche, premises for commercial and associative activities, and artists’ studios. The transformation of this ensemble of buildings has been entrusted to six European architectural and urban design practices.

The second complex of the SILO Foundation in Echichens on the heights of Morges, the new building offers additional services such as a doctor's office for general practitioners, a hairdresser, and a tea room.

The project uses its splendid location, an open clearing with two tall cedar trees and a gently inclining orchard, to allow the landscape to enter into the centre of the building. The day care centre and playground are treated as two parts of a puzzle, as the permeation of interior and exterior spaces.

This residential building is the third project executed by Lacroix Chessex on Bochet street in St Sulpice village (Switzerland), between House Guignet and Villa Sabbatini. The building is composed of six residential appartments in co-ownership and can be thought of an addition of two single houses - two parallelepiped rectangles with their ridges - out of which a clover with straight edges would have been cut. One leaflet faces the north on the road side, where the entrance is situated, the other two face the south-east and the south-west.

Situated at the entrance of Geneva, the Students housing of the Graduate Institute are open to the world. The shape of the building forms a broken bar which one of the facade follows the curve of the railway tracks. This particular shape disturbs the perception of this big urban building, which takes advantages of its size and the site’s constraints.
