The Predikherenklooster is a more than impressive building. The baroque monastery was built starting in 1650 and was deconsecrated in the 18th century. In the 19th and 20th centuries it was mainly used for military purposes and has been abandoned since 1975. We developed our design with respect for the particular characteristics of the existing edifice. The programming, the spatial design, our concept for the restoration as well as the design of the technical installations, and all structural interventions are intended to preserve and reinforce these characteristics. The building has a clear structure consisting of an outer ring consisting of broad multifunctional rooms, an inner ring (the cloister), the courtyard, the attic and the church. Over the years the structure has been entirely preserved and can be experienced everywhere in the building.

Goeree Overflakkee is a peninsula in the South of the Netherlands. Here, small-scale agricultural use meets the dunes. The spacious building site is located on a shallow dyke on the transition between those very different types of landscape. Looking east one sees meadows and fields. Towards the other side there are windswept trees and dunes. One this site family R decided to built a house for themselves and their numerous children and guests to spend weekends and holidays.

Uitdam is a small, picturesque village at the banks of the IJsselmeer. The clients found a small house to be demolished, next to the church and the dyke, just big enough for a new dwelling for two. Shape, materials, dimensions and the slope of the roof were almost fixed from the beginning.

Three very small houses built according to the strict building rules of the park where the introduction of a grass roof meant a major innovation. In collaboration with the contractor, a prototype was developed that would eventually be repeated with small alterations.
