An Architecture of Resonance — The new equestrian performance hall is situated within the Cour du Puits, one of the two historic courtyards of the National Stud (Haras National). Rising seventeen meters high, the edifice boldly redefines the site's skyline. Its lofty silhouette soars above the Napoleonic stables, echoing the vast slate roofs of these secular longères. In this historysteeped, almost sacred context, we eschewed the anachronistic contemporary gesture. «We summoned a classical vernacular to resonate with the soul of the place.»

Context. Inaugurated in 1976, Talence’s Pierre-Paul Bernard stadium was built in the heart of the Thouars woods. This location offers an exceptionally wild environment. The site is mainly dedicated to athletics and hosts national and international events, notably the Décastar, which has been part of the IAAF (World Athletics) world challenge in combined events since 1998. Kevin Mayer set the decathlon world record here in 2018. Since then, the site has become an essential step for world-class athletes, as well as Bordeaux’s biggest annual sporting event, attracting over 15,000 spectators.

Context. Villerupt is a small town in Lorraine, built on the border with Luxembourg on a subsoil that was once full of iron ore. It followed the huge expansion of the exploitation of this resource, growing from 560 inhabitants in 1861 to over 16,000 a century later. Many Italians will come to fill the tens of thousands of jobs needed to extract and process millions of tons of material. Four generations will follow one another until the resource was exhausted.

Context. The deep-rooted origins of the Domaine de Bayssan still remain a mystery, but its toponymy plunges us into the Gallo-Roman period which contributed strongly to the city of Béziers identity, its economic expansion, and its emergence in history.

This building is one of the main wings of the former Saint-Etienne arms factory. This industrial estate was built in 1864. It covers an area of twelve hectares to the north of the city centre. Designed in the spirit of the rationalist architecture of the 18th century, such as Claude Nicolas Ledoux’s saltworks or the Grand-Hornu near Mons, the factory is an industrial and military «palace» composed of white stone and red brick. It embodies the aesthetic ideal of an era intoxicated by the fortunes generated by the industrial revolution.

The city of Le Havre immerses us in a moving atmosphere full of powerful stories and spray. The new cultural, associative, and sporting facilities are being established as one of the centerpieces of the Danton district, which is in the process of being upgraded. It responds to the policy of the city of Le Havre and more closely to the expectations of the inhabitants who were consulted to compose its program.
