The project is a conversion of three pump stations originally constructed in the late 1960s in connection with the large land reclamation project where Skjern River was straightened out. A large number of environmental problems were associated with this alignment of the river, leading to the river being restored to its original run in 2002. In this way a vast and rich natural area reappeared with many visitors.

The project for Ejerforeningen Nørrehus transformed the residents' common courtyard from being a purely utilitarian space to being oriented towards leisure and community. The first stage dealt with all the surfaces, new planting and playground. The Second phase dealt with a new house for the common facilities including, room for prams, the house keeper, and waste and recycling.

Reinterpretation of historic cottage and shed
The cottage is located in a protected landscape with historic vacation homes carefully placed in slopes of overgrown moraine and sand dunes, rising from surrounding flatlands. The reconstruction’s ambition is to recreate the sense and atmosphere of being in the old house before it was left unused and timber infestation made a rebuilding unavoidable.
