After extensive restoration and renovation, the listed power station has now become the new accommodation for the Maastricht cinema Lumière.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>The offshore engineering company GustoMSC moved into the ‘Timmerfabriek’; a distinctive industrial building that was originally constructed in 1948 at the former terrain of the Wilton Fijenoord dock in <a href="https://www.archdaily.com/tag/schiedam">Schiedam</a>. JHK architecten worked in close collaboration with GustoMSC and ABT on the transformation and transfiguration of the 9.500 m2 building, in order to achieve a design that fits both with the needs of the new user and the preconditions imposed by the existing building.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>Together with Zuidplein and the area surrounding Ahoy, the Motorstraat area forms the Heart of the South in <a href="https://www.archdaily.com/tag/rotterdam">Rotterdam</a>. In the future, a high-quality, multifunctional urban district will be established here. The Unielocatie Zuiderpark is one of the first developments within this framework. The building houses two schools: a vmbo school for preparatory secondary vocational education (Zuiderparkcollege, LMC Secondary Education) and an mbo school for senior secondary vocational education (Zadkine). Naturally, the two schools are characterized by extremely diverse and sometimes contradictory ideals. </p>]]>

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Leiden will at completion of the building project present itself in one building, promoting the cooperation between the different institutions housed within. Leiden University will have a modern, open and communicative building in which the various research institutes of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences will be interconnected better than ever.         <![CDATA[<p>Parking garage ‘de Cope’ at Papendorp in <a href="https://www.archdaily.com/tag/utrecht">Utrecht</a> proves once and for all that a parking accommodation need no longer be a grey and negative mass. With its clear design and transparent parking structure, this garage is truly an added value to its environment and makes parking a positive experience. Industrial estate (and offices complex) Papendorp currently witnesses widespread parking in public space. Temporary parking solutions very much mark the streets. In the meantime, parking regulations have been amended and new developments set into motion. In the context of this development, Kroon Group and JHK Architecten realised a parking garage combined with an office/business premises in Papendorp Zuid, with a total of some 500 parking places and 3x1000m2 worth of office space. The majority of the parking spaces is intended for use by the neighboring offices. In other words, we are on our way to a street without parked cars.</p>]]>
