The house is located on a hill in the highest corner of a village amid an agricultural area in Northeast Bulgaria. The site of the project is distinguished both by its panoramic views and distant visibility. In order to strengthen them, a part of the program is located in the seemingly blind bastion-like volume and the living area is elevated high on it.

This twenty apartments residential building is located in a renowned villas area of Sofia between the city and the mountain. Precise positioning in the middle of the vast steep plot among the trees of a mixed forest both conceals its scale and provides privacy.

Utterly introvert, this house is located on the last plot of a desired neighbourhood in the outskirts of Sofia, Bulgaria. The complexity of the program confronts the size of the site thus determining the tree structure of the house. Each of the three stories differs in both size and concealment strategy.

Prior to its reconstruction, this house from the 1920-ties was a romantic ruin surrounded by authentic and new-built fragments of ancient Augusta Traiana and rather isolated from the contemporary city, yet in its very center.

Located on a slope in the outskirts of Sofia, just between the city and the mountain the house enjoys panoramic views in two directions. Downwards above the street to the cityscape and upwards through the garden to the mountain peaks. This corresponds to the external spaces under the projecting roof. The small widening of the street defines an entrance space while the veranda connects the house with the garden.
