The villa is located in narrow strip of woodland between open fields and a lake. The buildings are sited alog a pathway winding between birch trees. The path begins from the edge of the field and runs through the villa, by sauna, continuing to the lakeshore. The black oil finnish of the timber buildings continues the dark tone of the pine forest`s edge. The building opens towards the lake and is almost totally enclosed in the direction of the fields. The site has been left in its natural state.

The atelier is situated on a beautiful shoreline plot in a densely built area dominated by low-rise housing. Already existing on the plot were a single-family house from the 1990s and an older shoreline sauna. Our task was to design an artist`s workspace, which could later be transformed into a residence.
