The buildings are sited alog a pathway winding between birch trees. The path begins from the edge of the field and runs through the villa, by sauna, continuing to the lakeshore. The black oil finnish of the timber buildings continues the dark tone of the pine forest`s edge. The building opens towards the lake and is almost totally enclosed in the direction of the fields. The site has been left in its natural state.

Already existing on the plot were a single-family house from the 1990s and an older shoreline sauna. Our task was to design an artist`s workspace, which could later be transformed into a residence.
