The project aims to transform the Centre Beautour, Biodiversity Discovery Centre, a project opened in 2013, and develop it into an educational and tourist park scheduled to open in summer 2023: Le Potager Extraordinaire. The theme of this new leisure park is agricultural, domestic and vegetable biodiversity. By taking into account the sunlight requirements inherent to market gardening, the path takes advantage of the characteristics of the site and preserves the pre-existing balance as much as possible. The aim of the project is to immerse visitors in the collections of the Potager Extraordinaire and the richness of the host site.

The design of the extension to the university campus proposes an "articulation" following a simple, clear geometry, linking the various fragmented entities. This articulation clings to the existing buildings and connects the two existing and preserved buildings, stretching out from the entrance forecourt/hall. Its layout and geometry make it easy to structure the boundaries between the "urban" front and the "landscaped" rear. In keeping with this idea, it is the whole of the building that naturally shapes the exterior spaces.

The plot dedicated to the operation presents a unique situation: an existing heritage building (a former presbytery) surrounded by a stone wall and an old orchard. The cultural hall and the associative premises are part of a comprehensive approach aimed at strengthening links between the village, around the market, the church, and the town hall.

Mixing squash, ‘baby-foot’, and indoor soccer, the Footcheball is a sport to be played in a defined space, the Chaum-Room. It is open to everyone, as long as the chport spirit is respected.

Main idea of Beautour center is to glorify the historical Georges Durand’s mansion (a Vendean naturalist, 1886 - 1964) who got important collections. Man of rights, he quickly developped a passion for natural sciences. For 70 years, he collected plants and insects from all over Europe, with the help of his friends and fellow scientists. This is how he has been able to collect nearly 5.000 birds, 150.000 butterflies and insects, and numerous herbariums. Thus almost all 4.500 species of the french flora are hereby represented.

The city council house construction is located in Quimper, in an urban re-newing area called Kermoysan. On north the site faces on to carpark and residential housing from the sixties; on south to the main street and round about. On the western boundary stands a lot of oaks and sweet chestnut trees and a little footpath going toward individual houses. In this particular context, the project proposes a strong identity, re-telling a «story» and re-creating a place. The building is clad in a light wood skin with a geometric pattern, bringing back to an imaginary, and reminding the half-timbered houses from the historical city of Quimper. The existing natural environment combined with the new landscape frontside creates a green setting for the new city council house.
