Developed in partnership with GOMA Oficina Colaborativa, this project is a remodeling of a commercial complex to shelter the "Galpão Comum", an independent space dedicated to the practice and research on the city and image of latinamerican territory. Located on the ground floor of a residential building in the Santa Cecília neighborhood the space aims to hold a plurality of simultaneous activities. In order to do that, the project seeks to accommodate individual work to collective activities, open and closed meeting rooms, and indoor and outdoor relaxing areas, including a commercial point to activate the street facade.

This project involves the renovation of a former car dealership in the Lapa neighborhood, São Paulo, to accommodate the needs of a school with an innovative pedagogical approach based on project-based learning. The project stages ranged from choosing the property to be renovated to the layout of the classrooms and the selection and design of the furniture.

The apartment is located in a duplex building in Vila Madalena, offering unobstructed, panoramic views of the horizon. The core premise of our design was to preserve the double-height living room—where the best views of the sunset are framed—while simultaneously meeting the clients' request for an additional suite on the upper floor.

Lausanne Apartment / GOAA

Designed by the architect Franz Heep in 1953, the Lausanne building is an important example of Brazilian modern architecture. The building´s main façade, animated by colorful sliding brise-soleil, faces the Higienópolis avenue and the English Club, while the rear façade opens the apartments to FAU Maranhão, an old mansion designed by Ramos de Azevedo that now houses the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo.

Retrofit in the Castelo Branco Building / Andrade Morettin + GOAA

Of remarkable presence in the landscape of the Concordia, the Castelo Branco building was underutilized, its facade of monumental dimensions and animated by its brise-soleil did not reflect the abandonment of its interior. If on the one hand, the intense movement of Rangel Pestana Avenue makes it difficult to lease the large office floorplans, on the other hand, it produces such appreciation of the commercial space on the ground floor that makes impossible any intervention that would consider closing it.

The strategy to reorganize the program of this house, consisted in taking advantage of its unusual arrangement in order to create a new spatial sequence. The project focused on the transformation of the house facing the street and whose blind facade contained a graffiti made by a neighbor artist and valued by the client.
