Designed for a family living abroad, this country house in the countryside of São Paulo needed to accommodate them for extended stays in Brazil. Located in Quinta da Baroneza and spanning 11,840 square feet (1,100 m²), the project's major challenge—in addition to designing a program for long-term use—was resolving the layout on a steeply sloping plot.

São Paulo, 2020 – Located in Bragança Paulista (SP), in the Fazenda Dona Carolina gated community, the DAC House, designed by the firm Gilda Meirelles Arquitetura, had as its architectural concept the development of a project that followed the slope of the land, without requiring too many stairs and keeping the views of the forest present in most of the rooms.

Baroneza 22 House / Gilda Meirelles Arquitetura

Located in Bragança Paulista, in the countryside of São Paulo, the Baroneza 22 project, designed by the firm Gilda Meirelles Arquitetura, aimed to create a harmonious dialogue between the outdoor vegetation and the home's indoor spaces. Divided into blocks, the spaces are connected by a gallery with glass glazing and wooden louvers, which allows natural light to enter throughout the day.

Lake House / Gilda Meirelles Arquitetura

The owners of this house, with a beautiful view of the lake and the forest in Quinta da Baroneza, have always been fans of the work of the Gilda Meirelles Architecture office. When they found a ready-made residence that had been tailored for another resident who needed to move, they fell in love at first sight. Over time, the large family began visiting the house more frequently—on weekends, holidays, and during vacations—and realized they needed more space to comfortably accommodate everyone, including for entertaining occasional guests. Thus, they acquired additional neighboring lots, totaling an area of 1,300 m².

Located in Terras de São José, in Itu (SP), the JR residence, a Gilda Meirelles Arquitetura project, was designed for a couple with children and grandchildren, thinking mainly of the leisure that it should provide and the possibility of serving as a home.
