Renovating is not just about “changing form”; it is also about giving the opportunity to reuse or revive—in short, to reinhabit. Simply by altering the furniture in a home, we can turn it around and adapt it to new needs. The mere gesture of rearranging furniture offers us a new home. A lack of space or poor organization leads people to make small but necessary—and meaningful—transformations. One could say that it is the users themselves who transform it. Perhaps, unconsciously, they also design it. Through subtle operations, space is modified from the objects outward, rather than through renovation as it is conventionally understood. In this case, the intention is precisely to work through small but concrete transformations that provide the space with new possibilities and serve as a support for living in it.
