From the first moment, this project represented a great challenge for the studio. From its design stage, where the house had to be implanted on an irregular and steep terrain, to the construction stage, as it is located in a small development on one of the highest parts of Tafí del Valle, far from the city and without the possibility of having quick and easy access to resources for construction, both in materials and labor.

The building is located at Las Nubes neibourghood on the way to Tafi del Valle, Tucuman, Argentina. It is placed in an area of almost 6000 mt2 in the middle of the valley, being protected by the mountains and with unique views over El Mollar village and La Angostura dam. Tafi del Valle village sets through the north windows of the bedrooms. The night witnessed the immensity of the whole valley overlooking The Mollar and Tafi del Valle.

Casa Quintas is located in a gated community in Tafi Viejo, a suburb minutes away from the capital city San Miguel de Tucumán. The parti finds its roots moving away from all the modern architectural preconceptions of a typical country clubhouse in Tucumán’s suburbs. The first sketches were inspired by some sort of "Revival" on what was once the typical patio house.
