The proposed design emerged from the clients' desire for open, integrated social spaces, which had to be achieved in an apartment that was initially poorly suited to these qualities.

The project came to the office as a request from a couple of visual artists to redesign a courtyard, a studio with a bathroom, a laundry room, and a pantry. These existing spaces functioned at the back of a two-story row house in the Cambuci neighborhood of São Paulo.
