The rehabilitation of this building is located in a village in Toledo. A place characterized by its low rainfall, low temperatures in winter, and high temperatures in summer. A place where social life and family life separate at the entrance threshold of each house, and which is of special importance behind closed doors. The majority of our projects are developed based on a search for light. However, when this project of a courtyard house in Toledo arrived, the development of the project was based on a search for shade, filtered light, and shadow areas.

Sinerxia Physiotherapy Center / Erbalunga estudio

The project follows the design principles of a previous project “Sinerxia I”, carried out by the studio. Larger commercial premises are essential in order to improve the offered capacity. The centre accommodates physiotherapy cabins, rooms for functional rehabilitation, and a training sports area, where the most personalized treatment is offered.

The Proprietor of this project wanted to create a Creperie in an established area of the city with the concept "Take Away" where customers, if they desired, could purchase and consume the product whilst walking in the old medieval part of the city, as an alternative to the arrangement of seating in the Creperie's limited dimensions.

The commission of this project is the design of a commercial area for a communication and advertising company. The existing conditions such as an elongated floor plan, with a large glass facade facing west and two large windows at the rear facing east establish the main principle: a longitudinal path where natural light is the claim to advance and travel through space. The program is divided into three differentiated areas according to the client´s requirements. These are reception, meeting room and a working space with an anechoic chamber.

The owners of this house were not identified with the layout of their old apartment. Small consecutive spaces, arranged longitudinally along a corridor that provided access to multiple rooms and uses. A simple and inefficient distribution for a contemporary dwelling.
