This detached house is located in Punta Canide, Oleiros, in the Bay, with stunning sea views. Due to this location, the building should respond to some very specific buildable constrains and setbacks, required by municipal regulations, as well as the morphology of the land itself, which required adapting to the slope of the plot, with a drop of nearly three metres. We also searched for the best orientation to promote the best views of the building sight.

A ramp allows these to come to the basement level and to gain access to the garage door existing in it. Next to it, an exterior covered seat of parking is arranged. The pedestrian access is made from the door of the parcel through a “capitolina” staircase that reaches the exterior level of the basement and of the stairs of two sections that allows to gain access to the ground floor terrace.

To meet this landscaping challenge is used a formal repertoire of pure volumetrys, integrated into the geometry of the dam itself and, secondly, they rely on the proper forms of naval architecture. From a functional point of view, the building houses the program uses proposed by the Port Authority, allowing from its upper floors the total perimeter view of the port and the estuary. An external ramp system allows saving the difference in height between the sea wall of the dam and access to the roof.
