The house is in central Israel in a vibrant residential neighborhood, with 300 m2 of floor space, covering a 500 m2 plot. The concept of the house, in line with the credo of Israelevitz Architects, is hiding more than it reveals. However, in this house, the concept is louder, more prominent, and dominant than ever.

It emerges from a high fold of land, linear, straight, and free of any affectations. You enter it via a lower level, just like entering through the hull of a ship. The house designed by Dan and Hila Israelevitz, the owners of Israelevitz Architects, is unlike anything we have ever seen. Thanks to the creative use of the topography and the characteristics of the surroundings, the architects have created an extraordinary living environment for the family members which pulls at the strings of the soul and the heart. The cobbler's children do have shoes: the owner of a successful construction company, who wanted to create a different and unique living experience for his family, turned to Dan and Hila Israelevitz, the owners of Israelevitz Architects, to design their new home in the heart of a pastoral rural settlement overlooking a virginal and wild nature reserve.

The family who built this home wanted to create a relaxing, embracing environment which, while providing a view to the surrounding green, pastoral landscapes, manages to maintain a sense of privacy. The result - an impressive architectonic structure in which both demands were perfectly combined and met, enabling all family members to enjoy all aspects of their vision. The house, which is located in the northern part of Israel, is built on about 10000 square meters of land, 3000 out of which has been processed for construction (the rest being agricultural land). The built area of the house spans across an area of about 500 m2 and includes 7 rooms.

The main concept of the main structure is the reference to the plot's location, which is on the highest hill of the neighborhood. The scenery includes uninterrupted view of the Mediterranean and the entire Gush Dan area. Therefore, the house was designed so that it opens to the view. As a consequence, the external sitting area was designed as a direct continuation of the internal space, and beyond that, the swimming pool with the structure's contour lines

The building’s concept is an integration with the natural landscape in the area and in the plot, while creating a dramatic entrance façade that is still restrained and mysterious toward the street. Instead of highlighting the large and regular windows, and the doors, the idea was to hint at the building by creating two concrete beams with a line of trees between them. Between these stands a columns arcade which lead to the entrance hall, with an ornamental pool on both sides of the path. The entrance to the building, through a patio as a fruit tree orchard, constitutes a pause before entering the house and creates a framework for the building, built of layers of walls and partitions.

Creating an L shaped house, determined by the lot’s geometry, with flowing mass of blocks with horizontal lines and characteristics. The structure is relatively closed in the direction of the street in order to provide privacy, while part of the design concept was to create a stimulus and attract people to enter the house, like peeking through a keyhole. This concept is translated into the design of a front façade, built out of two layers with an opening in the wall, while the second layer, the inner wall, is in black stone cladding, with glass windows. All of these are slightly concealed by an olive tree, so that the effect is visible during the day as well (the wall covered by the stone and the olive tree), and in the evening by the light emerging through the windows, some of which are concealed by the tree.
