In 1929 when Valentim dos Santos Diniz left the village of Pomares, in the Portuguese province of Beira Alta, on his way to Brazil. He came only at the age of 16, driven by the ambition of a wider horizon. When he first glimpsed Brazil, still inside the ship, what he saw was a gigantic rock outcropping in Guanabara Bay. He soon discovered that it was called Pão de Açucar.

One of the most important architects in Brazil, Dado Castello Branco announces his participation in CASACOR São Paulo with the Clock House. The exhibition, in its 32^nd edition, happens between May 22 and July 29. Inspired by the townhouses of Amsterdam and London, Dado brought, in 283m², a sophisticated concept of integration and multifunctionality for the ambience. “For the second time in these almost 20 years that I have participated in CASACOR, we have built a house from scratch, a full project of architecture and decoration.

When crossing the entrance doorway, the spectator comes across a big wooden box, made of Cabreúva, which architect Dado Castello Branco defines as the “heart of the house”. The other social areas were distributed from that wooden box, into integrated spaces.

The design of the house was based in a contemporaneous concept, regarding the architecture and interior design. The external area is integrated with the inside, giving the possibility to unify the whole social area in a wide inviting space.

Flamboyant House / Dado Castello Branco Arquitetura

The architect Dado Castello Branco signs the “Flamboyant House” for the 29^th edition of Casa Cor Exhibition 2015, that occurred from May 26to July 12, in Jockey Club, São Paulo. The room with 85m² favors the use of natural materials like stone, wood and glass. The whole space was designed considering comfort and interaction, with the landscape view in focus. As background, the professional used neutral colors.
