1. Project Overview - The Dahecun Site, which has lain dormant in the hinterland of the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River for over 6,800 years, holds outstanding significance as a benchmark of Yangshao Culture in the core Central Plains region. The Dahecun Site Museum, a key component of the Dahecun National Archaeological Park, is China's first venue to present a comprehensive display of Yangshao Culture. With a floor area of 20,000 m², it is also the largest fully sunken archaeological site museum in the country. Through its sunken design, the building steps back from the archaeological remains and dissolves its own mass, allowing natural processes to reshape the land.

After a long time of carefully planning and rounds of tough negotiations, an Asian Games Village neighborhood community office was finally decided to transform this place into, construct a Winter Olympic home for the people, and build a beautiful community office for Beijing. Its position serves as a start point to show the courage to change! The old exhibition hall should be changed into a brand new building, which is a gorgeous turn of the street corner, by the means of low cost, light intervention, and easy construction. It would no longer be the traditional street office of gatehouse style and window hall, but the center of community life in the new era, where the people can come in, see inside, and participate happily!

The past and present of Soils A. On the Tang Mountain located in the suburb of Nanjing, with the verdant and foggy surroundings. Ten towering cylindrical grey cement silos are set upright here alone. The absolutely geometrical shapes stand out, which look like a series of big exclamation points, telling the world the past story that the mountain was dissected, the ores were continuously mined, the massif was exposed nakedly and the pit was dug deep, the machines roared in the cement processing plant, powder and smoke rose from all around, and sewage flew everywhere. Later, This place gained its peace again. Ten silos stared at the sky straightly, as if they had been ten-round eyes, waiting for some moment in space-time when fresh new soul was to be injected again.

The Garden Art Museum was the main venue of the 12th China (Nanning) International Garden Expo. There were two small hills on the site, in respect to the existing terrain, the design team embedded the first floor of the building in the hills to minimize its volume, while arranging the small exhibition halls as scattering clusters on the hillsides, which create a unique landscape with strong vernacular features.

Plane order
The plane is composed of seven strip space units with different width and width arranged along the north-south direction. The elevator, toilet, other service spaces and the shared atrium are integrated into three sets of spacing service units to separate the four sets of Reading Library units. The whole building has formed a complex and strong contrast between the virtual and the real in the strict logical space system, and it has a strong sense of rhythm.

The Taiyuan Tourism College Gym is the newly-built venue of the Volleyball competition (Women's U15 Club Group) of the 2nd National Youth Games of China, which is located in the northeastern part of the Taiyuan Tourism College campus. The whole design progress was directed by CUI Kai, the Chief Architect of CADG, who is also an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, as well as JING Quan being the team leader, who is the president of Architecture Design & Research Institute I of CADG. It merely took two years for the entire project cycle.

“Cangge” – The design of Holiday Inn Express Beijing Shougang Silo-Pavilion was started in November, 2015 and completed in July, 2018. Located in the northern part of the old industrial zone of Shougang, it was transformed from the 1st blast furnace air compression station, the returning coke and ore bunker, the low-voltage power distribution room, the N3-18 transfer station, etc. four industrial buildings into a distinctive boutique hotel. It also provides shifts accommodation services for the staff of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Organising Committee.

Shenzhen Branch Office Building of China Merchants Bank is another important project to have the corporate image well shown in Shenzhen after its Head Office Building Completion. It was designed by China Architecture Design & Research Group who won the design competition in 2007 and was completed in 2017.
